Jose Belda MD, PhD, FEBO.  Specialist in Glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery.

He had his residency in Ophthalmology at La Fe University Hospital in Valencia, and holds a Cum Laude Doctorate from the University of Valencia, a Master in Integrated Health Services Management from ESADE (Barcelona and Madrid, 2018) and he is author and co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed publications . He trained in several prestigious international centers such as the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (Miami), the Moorfields Eye Hospital (London) or the Hospital for the prevention of Blindness (Mexico City). He participates in numerous international clinical trials of glaucoma, and collaborates in the development of new techniques and implants for the surgical treatment of glaucoma. He has been accredited in the positions of Professor Doctor and Professor of Private University by ANECA since 2015. He has collaborated with Doctors of the World in surgical campaigns in refugee camps in the Sahara. He is head of the Ophthalmology Service of the University Hospital of Torrevieja since 2006.
